Members of the 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø community are invited to attend a behind-the-scenes experience with the 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø Symphony Orchestra during an online rehearsal taking place Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. The event will be broadcast on   

Led by 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø Symphony Orchestra director Kira Omelchenko, the event will mark the return to in-person ensemble rehearsals for 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø student musicians in the Theatre Auditorium since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The rehearsal will include music that pays tribute to the resiliency and determination of 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø student musicians through the many challenges created by the pandemic. Performances will include Warrior Legacy by Soon Hee Newbold and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Symphonic Suite. 

“Sharing live music online is a way to connect with the community, to showcase the talents and passions of 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø music students and celebrate the return to making music in person," says Omelchenko. “It is also an opportunity for prospective students and their families to view what 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø music students are currently doing.”  

The rehearsal will also be posted to the following the event.  

The 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform on Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Performance details will be announced closer to the event, which will adhere to public health recommendations regarding indoor public events. Follow the for information.
