51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø Graduate Students’ Association to host Waterloo blood donor clinic March 17

51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø students know that giving blood offers a golden opportunity to help their community.

51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø’s will host a blood donor clinic on March 17 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Canadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic, located at 94 Bridgeport Rd. E. Donors can and use the university’s pledge ID, WILF001529, to have their donation counted toward 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø’s pledge goal. All members of the 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø community are invited to donate.

51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø is proud to support Canadian Blood Services’ Partners for Life program. Each year, 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø makes a pledge of blood donations as part of the program. 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø has pledged 450 units of blood for 2022. To date this year, 51³ÉÈ˸£ÀûÍø donors have contributed 92 units of blood.

Canadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic is open during the following times, but appointments must be booked in advance:

  • Monday to Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
  • Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Appointments at mobile clinics can also be booked online. The following clinics are scheduled throughout Waterloo Region and Brantford-Brant:

  • Elmira: March 25 at Lions Hall, 40 South St. W.
  • Cambridge: March 26 at Ararat Youth Centre, 35 International Village Dr.
  • Brantford: April 5 and 16 at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 64 Buchanan Cr.
  • Ayr: April 7 at North Dumfries Community Complex, 2958 Greenfield Rd.
